Happy new year 2013 to all

Publié le par Bertrand Ricque

"What sorrow now crushes thy heart, traveler?

What sudden pain grinds thy sweetest feelings?

The everstrengthening langorous call of love

Gently balances the frightening course

Of thy shaked existence.

So trail now this undiscovered path

And see who will join thy fearless soul."

I wish that this new Year 2013 will:

* help people turn away from religions that only try to control them and generate conflicts between humans by hiding spiritual paths behind social and individual rules.

* help people get conscious and accept that a sustainable environment means a lower life standard compared to the existing appetences.

* bring a peaceful life to all my relatives and firends.

* bring me friendship, music and poetry.

The intention counts

Publié le par Bertrand Ricque

When I dive, I always wear my diving watch. It is a less and less important tool when you have a diving computer and a backup electronic depth meter. But it is a gift from a beloved person. She has often difficulties to speak to me. Her gifts are messages, intentions. I bring her with me in the depths.

10 years without meeting a loved person. Stardust. Pieces of words. Parts of life.

Climbing with Valentin

Publié le par Bertrand Ricque

Last summer Valentin and I went to climb the “Martinswand”. It is a 90 m high wall in the Hohneck mountain somewhere in eastern France. I know quite well the place with some easy ways perfect for beginners. But it was the first time that 9 years old Valentin was going to climb on an impressive mountain., although he is used to climb indoor and outdoor.

The young guy usually shows anger and fear in front of difficulties. Close to the end of the 3 hours journey, rain started to fall with some thunder down in the valley. He had a bad remembering of a thunder storm in the Pyrénées which had been impressive. The rock begun to be wet and slippery. The best thing was to wait for the end of the shower and for the sun and the wind to dry it before going any further, which took about 20 minutes.

Valentin asked in the beginning some anxious questions on the situation but showed then impressive self-control until the exit at the top of the mountain.

In the worst moments there should always be time enough for calm, distance to problems and solution seeking.

Gifted

She could have been a writer and indeed she has many things to tell to us. She never dared starting to write and prefers to communicate with us by modelling earth or assembling objects. But I am sure she will start writing to us one day.
