Why to learn Greek in 2007 ?
Greek is spoken by probably around 15 millions persons. The Greek civilisations has left to us priceless treasures among which universality, independence of human beings and gods, and democracy. But one doesn’t need to speak Greek to understand and appreciate them. Everybody speaks English or French in Greece. So ? I don’t know. A challenge for the forties ? A way to feel closer from the people and the land ? I don’t know. It’s just an imperious necessity which became suddenly perceivable in me.
